The Andy Payne Rt 66 Half Marathon, 5K and Fun Run honors Cherokee Nation citizen Andy Payne, who won the International Trans-Continental Footrace, commonly referred to at the Bunion Derby, in 1928. The race covered a total of 3,423 miles along Route 66 from Los Angeles to New York City.
