About the Race
Celebrating Children is a free community event in April highlighting Child Abuse Prevention Month and Month of the Military Child offered by the City of Virginia Beach, GrowSmart and the Department of Parks and Recreation. As part of this event, families and children are encouraged to participate in a Fun Run at Mt. Trashmore Park. After the Fun Run, family resource exhibitors will be on-site with children's activities and information to share, along with entertainment, mascots, and inflatables.

When does it sell out?
No published deadline. Most races raise the entry fee in tiers and can sell out without warning — sign up early if you're committed.
