On Saturday, May 16, 2026, the Scott Laird Hometown Heroes Scholarship Team will host a special 5K Walk/Run fundraiser in memory of Major Scott Laird, Bronze Star recipient, and Lackawanna Trail alumni. A proud resident of Dalton, PA, Scott joined the army after graduating high school and served two distinguished tours of duty in Iraq and Kuwait.
