About the Race
The inaugural Strides for Survivors is being run to benefit the aftercare program at the NC Jaycee burn center. The aftercare team puts on annual events, including Camp Celebrate, Family Camp, Teenager Adventure Weekend, Adult Retreat, etc. for burn survivors. These events positively affect hundreds of survivors and their families. We hope that you will join us for this fun run/walk on Feb 28th at Wakemed Soccer Park. What should I wear?
Dress for ~10°F warmer than the standing temperature once you start running. Throwaway long-sleeve at the start, gloves and a hat for sub-50°F mornings, singlet plus visor when it climbs above 60°F. The race-day forecast above is the source of truth closer to the date.
