At the time of passing, Bill was the President of the Syracuse Teachers Association (STA) representing approximately 3,000 Syracuse City School District staff and 20,000 students. Prior to his presidency, Bill spent 10 years as a school social worker and 5 years as the 4th Vice President of STA.
