The VSAP event is broken down into three events, a 3-mile Suicide awareness walk/run, a 12-mile run and a 6-mile Ruck (Rucking or packing , 20kg to represent, remember, and honor veterans who have been tragically lost to us and our Nation). The VSAP helps build community which is one way to help combat suicide. Montana consistently has one of the highest suicide rates in the nation, per capita.
